Making Descansos

Whenever I go to my fridge I have Descansos Moments. Descansos moments are those moments when floods of memories return to comfort me as I learn to live without my beloved soul mate, Darryl, who died on January 19th 2007, after a long battle with bowel cancer.

My fridge is filled with all those photographs that might have been tucked away in albums and rarely viewed. I have used fridge magnets, of my art work and from Imogen Crest’s Nature store to hold the photographs in place. Here, by my refrigerator I can stop and remember a relationship that spanned over thirty seven years.
