Two sketches taken from a sketch book that Darryl worked on in 1963 when he was fifteen.
His eye for detail, his meticulous precision was a characteristic that marked all his work.
Darryl should have worked as an artisan for a living. He could have been a master builder, artist or graphic designer. Instead he became an industrial chemist and worked in university environments.

Wow, Darryl’s talent leaves me awestruck! Fifteen you say, did he continue drawing? Did his life’s work have anything to do with art? WOW!!

Comment by Traveller February 25, 2007 @ 1:34 pmAbsolutely amazing! What a fellow he was. You have lost a husband, a partner, and a friend all rolled into one. The world has lost a gem. I can visualize him now, sitting comfortably in some green pasture with a sketch book in hand. You two were/are soul mates in the true sense of the word.
Comment by Vi February 25, 2007 @ 5:50 pmthese are remarkable sketches and even more so considering the age he was when he completed these sketches. how marvelous that you have kept them and now post them here.
